Alaska school board removes 'The Great Gatsby' and others from curriculum for 'controversial' content[/h]
[FONT=&quot]The school board voted 5-2 on Wednesday to yank the works out of teachers' hands starting this fall. The removed books contain content that could potentially harm students, school board Vice President Jim Hart told NBC News on Tuesday.[/FONT]

You could interpret anything a certain way of you are looking for it. While I think we could surely get away from some of the repetitive black people are just victims narrative So much endless talk about slavery and such, you can't get away from reality. You can't shelter people. Context is the most important thing to teach I believe. You will never get much of that in a classroom though. No critical thought just follow the curriculum and be pc about everything
